Sale has officially started and if there is one person in the world that can not handle sale season, it has to be me. There is only one sale that I like and “do” on a half yearly basis and that is the one in Antwerp -and sometimes online stores. The rest of the cities and shops, I tend to just avoid.

Do not get me wrong, I LOVE discounts, but everything else about sale season is just not me. It is too busy, clothes are everywhere and trust me there is a reason for these items still being available instead of hanging in some stylish girls wardrobe already.

And yet I am sitting in front of a window that is screaming “sale”.

I wore a Zara shirt, Diesel jeans and belt, Céline sandals and Cheap Monday sunglasses.

When we think of a classic shoe, most of the time it is a black pump that pops up from the back of our minds. One of the most classic shoes out there though, in my opinion are Converse sneakers. They have been out there for decades, they never changed a bit and they will not disappear quite soon.

Despite the fact that I used to love wearing these with a super simple and comfy look, I now rather go for contrast and mix them with a sophisticated skirt -that means knee length in my vocabulary- instead of a pair of skinny jeans and the perfect white t-shirt.

You know how they say if the shoe fits, get them in multiple colors. I am currently thinking of going even more classic and get them in black. What do you think?

All I seem to be wearing lately is things from my boyfriend. A sign that my own closet does not appeal to me so much lately? A sign that I just need to do a huge spring cleaning in my wardrobe -even though it is summer already? I am not sure… Sometimes I just want to throw everything that I own out and start all over with just ten pieces that I already own. I wonder what the end result would be.

It is not often that I get super enthusiastic by a DIY. I have tried some myself and I think the results were pretty ok, but it does not come near the DIY’s Ivania Carpio from Love Aesthetics is executing. The sliced shades she did last week -inspired by the Grey Ant The Foundry sunglasses are such an amazing find that I had to share.

Sometimes I choose to just let the accessories do all the work. Everybody can look good in a white t-shirt and jeans, so it is not a very surprising fact that I like this combination super much, but what I like even more is to spice it up with gadgets -that is what I call my accessories every now and then.

I wore Rag & Bone sunglasses, a Zara t-shirt, Dr Denim jeans, Céline sandals and bag and a Dominic Jones ring.
