These were taken last week when it was still appropriate to be wearing a jumper and less appropriate to go bare legged. Now I am trying to work on our roof terrace in a bikini -because it is too hot to add any extra layers- in all sorts of weird positions -because it is so warm that I can not sit still really- that resemble bikram yoga poses.
I am was wearing an H&M Trend jumper (in stores soon I believe), old Rikaskirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses and Isabel Marant ankle boots that I should take out more often.
You see, the thing with dresses is that I feel the ways to wear it are pretty limited. This dress for example only looked perfect with a pair of boots and maybe a great headscarf. Or maybe it is just my restricted brain when it comes to getting dressed with dresses. Either way, in a spur of the moment I grabbed a stanley knife and cut of the biggest part of the embroidery. Et voila, we are talking a whole new level of possibilities now.
After experiencing fall (a sweater in July, seriously?) we are back to a couple of days of summer again. In the past few weeks I have seen people on their bikes wearing ponchos and scarves and people in shorts just across the street. It is weird how this weather can cause a crazy street scene just about that. Hopefully from today it will all go back to normal, I am definitely taking my bare legs out for a walk…
I am wearing a jumper from Style by Marina, top from Zadig & Voltaire, Diesel boyfriend jeans and Converse sneakers.
It is not often you see me hidden underneath a hat, especially since I cut my hair short. Fact is though that every time I see someone in a hat I am kind of intrigued -when worn well, of course. It just adds that ‘cool kid’ factor…what do you think?
Other than the hat from H&M, I am wearing my boyfriends COS t-shirt, the regular Dr Denim jeans, a Diesel leather jacket, shoes from Alexander Wang and a bag I got in Curaçao.
The biggest benefit of having your workspace in a store is that it is not hard to get inspired. The biggest disadvantage is that it is super tempting to leave with an empty wallet at the end of the day. Ever since my boyfriend and I moved in together, I have been on constant hunt for things that make the apartment look super cozy. Now, what is easier than to add scented candles, tons and tons of them?
My problem with scented candles is that I am not too fond of the regular vanilla and lavender ones you usually bump into. These ‘Orange Blossom’ ones are just special enough and can be found at The Collector (Eerste van der Helststraat 1D in Amsterdam) and I can tell you they smell gorgeous. There is also Thyme, Mown Grass and Jasmin available and I am waiting for the day my favorite -Fig- gets restocked.
