Been MIA with some serious Fashion Week flu, but I thought I’d share some of the NYFW outfits that I have been able to track down. In other words, how to dress for -15°C?NYFW OUTFIT RECAP
I just landed in New York for Fashion Week and was wondering what do you want me to share the most?NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
I used to absolutely hate yellow, but the more I think about it (trust me, I’ve even been thinking about a yellow bag lately) the more it grows on me. So when I walked in backstage at Delpozo and saw the primary yellow in the inner corners of the models eyes, I got really excited.PRIMARY YELLOW
Since it’s their 20th(!) show at New York Fashion Week this season, it only felt right to give Amy Smilovic’s Tibi a bit of extra attention. And so I went to their showroom on Broadway to sit down and have a little chat with Amy herself and capture the last bits and bobs of show preparations.TIBI, THE DAY BEFORE
A quick hello from New York! I am not going to complain about the cold (it’s -16°C here), because everyone is doing so already and even though I have had a few frigid moments myself (one involving my chin being completely numb, it’s hard to talk when that happens), trust me when I say this weather is not undoable. I mean you can’t bike around the city as if it’s August, but with a little help from the yellow cabs and by thinking smart instead of fancy while getting dressed in the morning it’s perfectly fine. My motto thus far? Looking good while staying warm IS actually possible. I would even go as far as saying that I prefer this over extreme heat when you have to be at certain amounts of places on a daily schedule. Also, it’s more about what you can’t see than what you can. Because what no one will notice is that I became best friends with my heat tech onesies. Take this blue fuzzy coat. It’s awesome and I am wearing six(!) layers underneath, it’s almost too warm! It’s fruity, shiny and it smells like summer. Oh, and the best part of all: you can put it on your lips. I love it like XO! *Beyonce voice*X / XOXO
Ugh, bad hair days, who doesn’t have to deal with them every now and then? They are definitely not completely vanquishable, but there’s ways to at least make them less frequent.H / HOW TO PREVENT BAD HAIR DAYS?
While I am trying to recover just in time for Paris Fashion Week – I woke up sick this morning, ugh – I’ve been mentally packing my bag for days. Going through some street style shots I snapped in New York earlier this month, this particular photo left me the most inspired.DOUBLE WHITE SHIRT
