Fashion is everywhere

EDITOR’S NOTE, PAS DE PARIS

It feels a bit strange that I won’t be in Paris for Fashion Week this season, I have to admit. I wasn’t in London or Milan either and while I am super bummed about it, trust me when I say my reason of embracing my fomo for once is super legit. And I am sorry for teasing, it’s something I won’t be able to share just yet. But hey, at least I went to New York! Not completely sure if that was the best choice weather wise, since the first thing I say when people ask me ‘how was New York?’ is ‘Cold!!!’. I did get to see some amazing shows and I am feeling quite inspired for the new season. Which by the way – according to the weather report – is unofficially starting next week. Plus, I got to spend some time with friends that I don’t get to see all the time. But let’s talk about our wardrobes and the new season, Spring!

LET'S DISCUSS VINTAGE!

When is vintage too vintage?

BURGUNDY MATTER(S) TOO

Speaking of ton sur ton, Liza Chloë has definitely got the look down in her burgundy ensemble. See? The key for this head to toe thing to work is to choose different materials. Because remember, texture ís your friend. Liza Chloë mixes a highly covetable chocolate brown leather number with a leather peplum top, the chunkiest beanie and oversized corduroy pants. Finished off with a lippy in the same hue, this is a super fun take on monochromatic dressing. Liza Chloë is wearing a vintage beanie, Proenza Schouler leather coat, H&M top and turtle neck and Monki corduroy pants.

IN BETWEEN WEATHER

I already showed you what I end up wearing when I do not want to think too much about getting dressed during hot summer days. Now that we are slowly transitioning into cooler weather, this is what I add on top; a giant sweater of which my boyfriend thinks it is only meant for the coldest winter days. I declare this the transitioning uniform. Sweater, Hope; Shorts, vintage Levi’s; Sunglasses, Ray-Ban.

SUMMER UNIFORM

After my second favorite summer uniform, my ultimate favorite. A pair of distressed vintage shorts, a silk shirt in any color, my best (and only?) belt and easy sandals. Shirt, Zara; Shorts, vintage Levi’s; Sandals, Pedro Garcia; Sunglasses, SSE; Watch, Efva Attling.

THE SUMMER ISSUE

It is July and that means it is summer!! Wait, not really, not in Amsterdam, but at least I experienced some of it in Ibiza last week and the good news is that I will be spending some time in the sunny Gran Canaria ánd Los Angeles this month. I thought we would only be skipping spring this year and we would have one hell of a hot summer, but it seems like we are skipping summer as well. How I just wish I could have take a tiny little piece of the sun back home… Oh well, I could go on about the weather for ages and ages, but let’s just pretend we all have the best weather in the world and rock our bikinis and sunnies this month!

LAS VEGAS BLVD

Las Vegas treated me well – no money got lost – and I am having a fabulous time in San Fransisco at the moment. As it is past bedtime over here and we are planning to run the Golden Gate bridge in the morning (I am not sure if I can drag myself out of bed on time though) before playing super tourist and heading to Alcatraz, I am going to try to pass out now. In fabulous Las Vegas I was wearing a top from Deus and vintage shorts.

SHORTS SUIT

Super late update today, but I just came back from playing a stylist all day for a project that is going to be launched October 11th. Mark your calenders, it is going to be awesome. The suit jacket is from Maison Martin Margiela, shorts are vintage, American Apparel t-shirt and the sunglasses are Linda Farrow. ph/ Lisa Galesloot
