Last weekend I braved the insane sale rush at Zara (not online, I went into the actual store) and came home with this boatneck ribbed knit. It looks like nothing on the hanger, but it’s really chic on. (Here’s a really vague detail shot on Instagram.) Have you done any sale shopping yet?SALE FIND
If Santa had a money tree and I could pick my own Christmas gifts…ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS #3
Remember I asked you on Facebook last week whether to buy or not to buy something in two different colors? Well, I was talking about this oversized cashmere sweater from Zara that I bought a few weeks ago and already wore 8.657.639 times. Ok that might be a little exaggerated, but I wear it ALL THE TIME. Now they also carry this in a dark red (which is obviously not for me, but it’s pretty anyway) and sand (HERE). Should I? Also, after spending tons of money on electrical fuzz removers*, I just recently got this d-fuzz-it thing from eBay for a little over 3 euros and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Just a tip if you want to keep your cashmeres fuzz free. * These things don’t work at all!FALL FAVORITES #2
Sweatshirt, skirt, socks and sneakers. Do I look too much like a college girl you think? I guess it is my way of crawling out of the lazy vibe I am always in after Fashion Week when it comes to getting dressed. I have been literally living in my two cashmere sweaters and favorite boyfriend denim for the past two weeks until I pulled this out.FOR THE LIFE YOU LEAD
Would it be ok if I talk about the weather again for a bit?OXFORDS
I was planning on biking throughout New York Fashion Week, but the day I wore this blue almost mermaid-esque skirt that obviously didn’t happen. I (in)conveniently got a flat tire the day before, so it was a good excuse to get this blue darling out on the street.SKIRTING IN NEW YORK
I can make this a super long story, but instead I am keeping it short for these shorts. I was looking for a pair of more decent looking shorts than the old vintage Levi’s pair that I had been wearing for ages and was literally falling apart (which is a good sign, because I obviously got enough wearing sessions out of it).LONG STORY SHORTS
It took me a while to get used to the shape and length of these pants, but lately I have been wearing them in a row/constantly/day after day. In Dutch we call them broekrokken, which can be freely translated to pantskirts. And after Googling just now I found out pantskirts is an official word too. Makes total sense, since it kind of really covers what culottes are all about. It’s a pair of pants, disguised as a skirt. Or a skirt, with the comfortableness of pants.HOW TO WEAR CULOTTES?
