Yes, my winter beauty bag contains more than just skin care products. We need make-up too! I don’t change my make-up products for the winter season as much as I do with moisturizers and such, but I do have a few blush favorites up my sleeve. Currently on rotation are (pictured from left to right):
NARS Powder Blush in Amour. I could have opted for the award winning Orgasm – I am talking about their most famous blush here, not the between the sheets equivalent – but I am all down for Amour. Shimmer and light peachy pink is more of a summer thing to me any way. This though is a coral with slight red undertones and is probably the most natural looking blush I have ever flushed on my cheeks. The only thing is that you have to be very super gentle when applying this love story, since it is so pigmented. Just a tap will do.
MAC Mineralize Blush in Early Morning. Limited edition is fun and all, but if something ends up being your ultimate favorite, you are screwed. Which is exactly what happened to this warm-toned friend that I pretty much love for all seasons. Unfortunately not available anymore – the color on my cheeks made two of my friends go on an unsatisfying hunt for this particular blush – but still a favorite.
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon. My blush line up wouldn’t be complete without at least one cream based, now would it (#firstworldproblems)? Even though I have a whole army of dry winter skin fighters on working shifts between my bathroom cabinet and handbag, the cold and pouring rain sometimes win a battle. That’s when my melon-colored cream blush comes in. Keeps my cheeks looking their very dewiest and the fact that it is easy to apply with my finger tips makes me want to keep it around at all times. The only downside is that it needs re-application throughout the day.
Turns out I am into coral peachy tones that all sounds like they were meant for spring/summer.
What’s your favorite blush? Does anyone have any experience with a 100% natural/organic blush?
