It seems like I failed to avoid the shoes that hurt like nasty paper cuts. I still believe the golden emblem on the soles of my Prada’s is more sexy than the red soles on these, but this dove grey patent just had me at hello.

Just recently I managed to reduce the content of my wardrobe to a minimum of one rack (excluding coats, trousers and jeans), yes I am serious. In Paris I bought some descent ‘stuffing’ for the empty spaces in between what is left, a dark grey cashmere sweater and a snakeskin printed mens t-shirt, both from Zadig et Voltaire.

Where I live, we all know it is way too cold for the time of the year. With spring just two official days away, the sun is only starting to peak through a thick and dark grey pile of clouds every now and then.

In my mind spring has sprung already and with spring comes my yearly enormous wardrobe detox (enormous it was…never in my entire life have I ever filled so many bags to either give, donate or sell). You know, after that Fashion Week month twice a year I always feel like I need to start all over again wardrobe wise, but never did I have to guts to just go for it. This time, I kind of did. I called in the help of my beautiful friend Anna and had my own little Carrie Bradshaw ‘take’ or ‘toss’ night.

The very next day I hopped on my bike straight to De Bijenkorf for some genuine research on what to fill up the empty closet space with. And so I had my own little spring dress up party, what to pick?

During New Years eve, I mysteriously lost one of my cheap Asos talon earrings and I have been on the hunt for a good replacement. I believe Asos still stocks them, but losing them so quickly is not a good sign. Bumping into these yesterday made my heart skip a beat, different sized left and rights, brilliant!

ps: They are also available in the same size left and rights (and in silver), but I like them like this.
