A visual guide to what happens in Newcastle upon Tyne on a two day trip to discover the city. Easyjet easily jetted me across the sea in just about an hour or so to eat, sleep, walk and to learn that Earl Grey was also a human being instead of just one of the most famous teas in the world. With its series of (almost) countless bridges – one ancient, the other as modern as they can get – I thought it was the perfect city for a stroll. The beautiful light and pink sky on my first day – that indicated bad weather for day two – kind of made it romantic also. A bit of snow and mopish weather until I got back on the plane to Amsterdam made it impossible to get a good snap of what I was wearing, but I can tell you it functionally kept me warm.
