The first thing I learned as a kid when I started to wear jewelry was to never mix the metals. I kicked off my love for jewelry at the age of around 7, when my mom – who worked at a jeweler at that time – took home that crazy scary pistol to pierce my ears. Tiny little gold hoops it was for years and years and two super thin golden rings to match. That was until I was old enough to go shopping on my own and found out there was much bigger jewelry available. The bigger the better!
After experimenting with all kinds of colors and sizes of things to accessorize my fingers, wrists, ears and neck with, I came to the conclusion that less is kind of more. And also that it is ok – even cool – to mix the colors up. I now have a few things that I never take off (my earrings, two silver rings and a watch that changes from time to time) and add whatever I am in the mood for in the morning, regardless its color.
Rings from Senesense (3D printed!), Cooee and Tiffany & Co, watch from Juicy Couture and bracelets I designed for Maison de Bonneterie.
Well hello there light blue leather jacket! Isn’t this jacket just a-ma-zing? You rarely see me in colors other than black, white or grey, but this light blue stole my heart a little. I love how the softness of the light blue works so well on a ‘rough’ material like leather, even though the leather is super buttery soft.
After wearing orange for a day – did we screw up that game or what – I decided to step into the comfort zone and spend my sunday celebrating our 3d anniversary and my dad’s birthday in the usual black, white and grey. I do not know what it is with me and the relationship I do not have with color, but it just works for me. (And I kind of blame it on the weather as well.)

Last weekend I went shopping with a friend to help her find the perfect little black dress, ofcourse we did not find a dress that came anywhere near perfect, but I did come home with this college shirt (and these super sexy racerfront tops). I have been looking for some cool new tops for a while, since all I have been wearing lately were my COS pocket t-shirts and a few other simple tops that I own.

The sun is finally out (though I have read that it is going to play hide and seek with us in the upcoming weeks) and I am trying to enjoy it to the fullest, which means suddenly all activities are done with a smile on my face. The best part of our new apartment is that we have this pretty big roof terrace which is more than perfect for a strong coffee in the early morning before we both head of to work.
