24 HOURS IN FIRENZE

One day you are shopping for a plant at Ikea, the next day you find yourself on the first plane to Italy. Tommy Hilfiger invited me to Firenze for the launch event of their Tommy Hilfiger x Blauer limited edition outerwear collection. There are only 200 pieces in each of the four styles and the cool part is that every piece will have its own unique number. I already picked my favorite!

I arrived at the hotel pretty early and got hooked up with the most amazing room ever, or should I say apartment? I was staying in the Torre Monalda suite and had a gorgeous 360-degree view over Firenze and its surroundings.

Around 6pm a New York city cab picked me up to drive me to the event held at the Tommy Hilfiger store at Piazza Degli Antinori, which was packed with cool people. We ended the night having dinner at a real Italian restaurant and I have to say there weren’t many hours left to take a nap before I had to go back to the airport.

I wore a Zadig & Voltaire top, H&M Trend leather skirt and Mango shoes.

ROLAND GARROS

Wearing Eudon Choi leather jacket and leather top, Étoile by Isabel Marant pants, Mango shoes

Anna and me

Before I went to Paris, I had never ever seen a tennis game in my entire life…not even on tv that is. When I was asked to come to Roland Garros I was not expecting I would love it this much. I mean, seeing Rafael Nadal play is no complaining material of course, but the game itself gave me goosebumps.

Apart from discovering that I am a huge tennis fan, I also got to visit the cellars of Moët & Chandon, got to cook with their star chef – who also happens to be Scarlett Johansson’s favorite chef - and went to have a vintage dinner at the old hunting lodge of the Moët & Chandon family. A vintage dinner is a three course dinner with a (different) vintage champagne matching the courses. Very special and above all indescribably delicious.

We ended our trip having dinner at George on top of the Centre Pompidou, one of my favorite places of Paris since my almost-interview with mr. Karl Lagerfeld.

HARTENSTRAAT 23

These pics were shot just a day before I left for New York Fashion Week, at the COS store in Amsterdam, to celebrate their opening in the 9 streets. I already extensively expressed my love for this chic H&M-sister (or brother, choose whichever you like), but I thought I’d share once more. The clothes are – most of the time – very well tailored, cut out of good fabric and simple, but always with a little difference about it. Just how I like it…

CHANEL LE VERNIS

Just came back from a Chanel nailpolish workshop. They showed me their new jeans and April, May and June colors and I got my nails done (in the color June, if anyone’s wondering). I haven’t been wearing that much nailpolish lately, but these colors make me wish for spring to start early and have my nails in a different color each and every day. Or maybe each and every month and follow the bottle’s names.
