It is July and that means it is summer!! Wait, not really, not in Amsterdam, but at least I experienced some of it in Ibiza last week and the good news is that I will be spending some time in the sunny Gran Canaria ánd Los Angeles this month.
I thought we would only be skipping spring this year and we would have one hell of a hot summer, but it seems like we are skipping summer as well. How I just wish I could have take a tiny little piece of the sun back home…
Oh well, I could go on about the weather for ages and ages, but let’s just pretend we all have the best weather in the world and rock our bikinis and sunnies this month!
First a dress, now a skirt. It must have been ages since I last wore one, let alone one with ruffles. I like it though and it feels good to mix that tomboy deep down inside me – I used to climb in trees, not play with Barbie dolls as a kid – up with some femininity.
ps: I am doing a little train ride today to shoot a City Guide with the ever gorgeous Tiany!

As you are reading this, I am walking around Paris to hunt down the coolest bag and other good things that are just better when bought in the city of romance. I kind of restricted myself to visit no more than three stores, since there is more things to do than just shopping, right?
One of the stores I am planning to pay a visit is & Other Stories, is it worth it? I have to be honest and say that from what I saw online, I am not convinced by the clothes (and shoes) yet, but the accessories and especially the beauty stuff looks quite good! (I NÉÉD all that Stop the Water stuff!)
Concerning the bag hunt… I always tend to fall for black bags, but as you can see I already wear a lot of black, so another color would probably be a better choice, no? Maybe I should take it step by step and get something subtle before I go orange or whichever other bright color. Maybe burgundy, or forest green. They both go well with black…
On other ‘making choices’ notes, I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for a long long time now, but the more I think about it, the more questions pop up in my head.
Like, how long should I wait to get used to the idea and to make sure I will not regret it afterwards? Do you have one? How long did you wait? What did you get? Does it mean anything to you? Is it addictive? Is it a good idea to get inked somewhere visible? Like on my arm? Or would it be better to choose a spot that I will not be able to see without using a mirror (just so that I won’t get sick of it from seeing it too often)?
ps: I would love to share what I have in mind, but I want to wait until I am completely sure myself.
This is my third and almost last day in the beautiful Barcelona with Mango for their #MangoSummer experience and I am super sad to be flying back to normal life (and ugh, rain plus cold) in Amsterdam tomorrow in the afternoon. My flight is around 1pm, so I will have an hour or two in the morning to do anything I want. Because it has been so so long since I last visited, I could use some recommendations. What would you do if you got to spend one hour of free time here?
This is one of my absolute favorite combinations; a crisp white classic cotton shirt, worn with a somehow sporty jacket. It is always fun to play with a bit of a contrast, whether it is in styles, shapes, colors – ok, maybe that one not so much – or volumes.
