First time I saw this editorialBaby, We Just Can’t Get Enough, it made me super happy. The spontaneous smile, the deer printed coat, the play with color and shadows….
It was created by (fairly new) online boutique The Dreslyn, which has quickly become one of my favorites amongst what the internet shopping world has to offer. (Especially now that I am still living in LA and I don’t have to deal with the heavy import duties. Ugh.)
I like how they are more about uniform dressing (like me!) and have less of a focus on trends that won’t last for multiple seasons. It’s about timeless investment pieces that are actually functional, while still offering ‘trends’.
Style before fashion is how they describe it themselves, which pretty much sums it all up.
This picture was taken back in February during New York Fashion Week while exiting the Rodarte show and going through those pictures reminded me of what a simple coat in a statement color can accomplish. For fall, I will go on the hunt for that perfect friend that will keep me warm…in mustard yellow or burgundy pretty please.
Ah…books. I love books, especially when they are so big they are hard to carry. Apart from giving me a big boost of inspiration every time I flip through the pages, books are a great decoration for the home.
This wooden hand from HAY is going to be my new nightstand friend -I do not own a nightstand just yet, but hey you have got to start somewhere. This hand is originally not meant to serve as a jewelry stand, but I think it is perfect for it! Jewelry favorites should be displayed in a way that makes choosing in the morning super easy and this is just about the ultimate solution for me. Thank you mom!
afterDRK was created by Sabrina Meijer in 2009 with the intent of appealing to all fashion seekers, especially the ones that have a slight appreciation for simplicity, but always with some sort of edge.
