ORANGE BLOSSOM

The biggest benefit of having your workspace in a store is that it is not hard to get inspired. The biggest disadvantage is that it is super tempting to leave with an empty wallet at the end of the day. Ever since my boyfriend and I moved in together, I have been on constant hunt for things that make the apartment look super cozy. Now, what is easier than to add scented candles, tons and tons of them?

My problem with scented candles is that I am not too fond of the regular vanilla and lavender ones you usually bump into. These ‘Orange Blossom’ ones are just special enough and can be found at The Collector (Eerste van der Helststraat 1D in Amsterdam) and I can tell you they smell gorgeous. There is also Thyme, Mown Grass and Jasmin available and I am waiting for the day my favorite -Fig- gets restocked.

You can find them here.

JEWELRY STAND

This wooden hand from HAY is going to be my new nightstand friend -I do not own a nightstand just yet, but hey you have got to start somewhere. This hand is originally not meant to serve as a jewelry stand, but I think it is perfect for it! Jewelry favorites should be displayed in a way that makes choosing in the morning super easy and this is just about the ultimate solution for me. Thank you mom!

Tell me, how do you keep your jewelry?

HOUSE TOUR

You ask, I deliver. This morning I asked on Facebook what you wanted my next post to be and ‘a house tour’ was the most frequent answer I got. My boyfriend and I moved in together back in April and the house is of course everything but finished. We are currently collecting things that we like and try to create a cool mix of a bit of industrial and modern, but above all comfortable. Our coolest find so far are two old factory lamps from Czechoslovakia, that are now hanging above our dining table.

ps/ I might do a bigger house tour post when there is more to show…

INTERIOR

Since I moved in with my boyfriend last month, I am all about interior inspiration. I buy interior design magazines instead of fashion ones and I tent to pin most images into my Places and Spaces board on Pinterest for inspiration. I would describe my style as clean and modern, mixed with a bit of industrial, but I am in no way an expert in this area. All I know for sure is that I am currently dreaming of an all white bedroom and that I have a thing for ugly vases. There is probably going to be some small slices of our apartment on my blog soon but until then, my Pinterest will have to do.
