Ever since I started blogging, I knew I wanted to share some Dutch design every now and then, Dutch design that makes me proud to be born in this tiny little country. Now Jan Taminiau and Iris van Herpen have made many appearances on my blog before, but so does my Céline bag, so here we go again. Even though these photos don’t really show a complete dress or full outfit – partly due to the fact I always carry a 50mm 1.8f lens around (and nothing else) – but I like it this way. The details are what I’m most intrigued by, so the details are shared.

Still bummed that I had to miss out on Bread & Butter and Berlin Fashion Week last week, I did get invitations for both, but I had to stay in Amsterdam due to personal reasons. Luckily, Lisa has been taking backstage shots at Iris van Herpen for quite a while now, so I can still share the amazing work of this Dutch designer. One of my fashion dreams is to wear one of her pieces to a big event…maybe one day. A girl can dream right?

Yesterday, I attended the Dutch Fashion Awards in the Hague. It’s a show where 5 nominated designers get to show their collection in front of an international jury. The big winner of the night was Iris van Herpen, who won the big prize and 2 other awards. I’m a big fan of her designs, so yay for Iris!

I was wearing a Margit Brandt top, Aaiko leather skirt and YSL shoes.
