It has been a long long time since I last did a giveaway, but I thought if I would go on and on about denim (and the denim vest in particular), it would only be fair to give one away.
So I got you this vest (in a size S, next time I will make sure it is something that fits all!) from Mango and the only thing you have to do to get a shot at getting your hands on this one is share and care.
1. Like afterDRK on Facebook.
2. Share this post on Facebook.
3. Leave a comment on how you would style it (and make sure to fill in the name and e-mail address field correctly).
4. Love me forever?
This giveaway is open until Sunday the 16th of June to everyone and anyone. The lucky one will receive an email from me on the 17th.
As I always try to justify my more expensive purchases by positively answering a lot of complicated questions I throw at myself – with one of those questions being ‘can I wear this in multiple (with multiple, I mean at least three) ways, with items already existent in my wardrobe? – I thought it would be fun to do a post on different ways to wear such purchase. You know, just to get that cost per wear not only down, but also documented.
In this case it is my Proenza Schouler denim vest (which can be found here (on sale, like seriously?!)).
So the first look is kind of a suit. But not really a suit, since it is worn with jeans. But I think denim always works very well with a ton sur ton mix of other garments.
The second is an either ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’. These pants have been hanging in my closet – tags still attached – for way too long and I have been wanting to wear them so badly, but 1. I could not find the right pair of shoes and 2. they are nog good with tights, so I had to wait for the weather to get better (which I hoped would arrive with the package (holding the pants)).
As I am a pretty lazy dresser – especially when travelling – when all the other girls (Gala, Jules, Nicole and Zanita) went up to their rooms to go change into something pretty for the night, I kept on my shirt from the pool party, put on the first pair of jeans I could find and added a pair of heels (ok, and maybe an extra layer of mascara and blush), to go from daytime casual to evening chic.
This look was shot right before I headed to the nearest Mango store to go shopping with Adela, my lovely reader who flew in all the way from Prague to join me on my #MangoSummer experience. Apparently I took this shopping spree very (read: very!) seriously, hence the concentrated face. Are you sure about that dress? Fun times!
This is my third and almost last day in the beautiful Barcelona with Mango for their #MangoSummer experience and I am super sad to be flying back to normal life (and ugh, rain plus cold) in Amsterdam tomorrow in the afternoon. My flight is around 1pm, so I will have an hour or two in the morning to do anything I want. Because it has been so so long since I last visited, I could use some recommendations. What would you do if you got to spend one hour of free time here?
Being torpadoed straight into summer is even better than (hello, we are still waiting!!) for spring. It only took a 1 hour and 45 minute flight to get me there and by ‘there’ I mean Barcelona. The only downside of it is that it normally takes a whole spring for me to get ready for the sun to fully come out. I mean, I still have to work on my abs – and all kinds of other body parts – a bit before I dare to set foot outside in a bikini. But let us safe all the getting physically ánd mentally ready for summer stuff for another post…maybe.
Anyway, I am spending four days with Mango for their #MangoSummer experience in the city that has it all to pre-experience summer and this will probably make – more than – up for the spring I believe Amsterdam and a lot of other European cities are missing out on this year.
