This is how I roll each and every single day no matter what I am wearing – whether it is silver pants and sneakers or a fancy dress – or what the weather does. I do not have a car (my boyfriend does though and I am free to use it but I never do) and I rarely take public transport. Bikes are everywhere in Amsterdam, there is actually even more bikes than people if I am correct, and it is the quickest way to get around.
Zara shirt, H&M Trend pants, New Balance shoes, Linda Farrow sunglasses and a Michael Korswatch.
This outfit in my opinion totally reflects what a pair of reflecting sunglasses can do. This ensemble would be totally boring without the sunglasses. I mean, the ripped parts in the boyfriend jeans give it a little boost, but the real boost is coming from the spectacular spectacles.
Rag & Bone sunglasses, Samsoe & Samsoe jumper, Acne jeans, Tommy Hilfiger shoes and Michael Kors watch.
What the Dutch do when the sun starts shining? Visit their ugly beaches. Our beaches will probably never make it into the top-10 prettiest beaches in the world, though I love to spend my days there. The endless view the sea has to offer, compared to the big buildings in Amsterdam is just so relaxing.
Samsoe & Samsoe shirt, vintage shorts and Céline sunglasses.
This vest has been hanging in my closet – unworn – for what it seems to be ages. That was until today. I have this weird thing with vests, I guess you can call it a love-hate relationship. It is just that I can not stand wearing this over something long sleeved and wearing it underneath something else just would not have done justice.
Won Hundred denim vest, COS t-shirt, H&M Trend leather shorts and Alexander Wang shoes.
I remember the days when it was normal to be wearing flared jeans everyday and all the girls in high school were wearing them. It sounds like I am super old saying things like ‘back in the days’ (or even worse; ‘in former times’), but isn’t it just funny how these things change so fast? I would not describe myself as a trendsetter back in school, but I was one of the first going for a pair of skinnier jeans (and also the first wearing those platform Spice Girls sneakers, but that is a whole another era). And I remember everybody looking at my jeans and making weird faces until a few weeks later they popped up in their own skinny’s.
No one would have thought the skinny jeans would last this long and every season a huge comeback for flared jeans was predicted. Fact is there never was a huge comeback. I think the main reason for that is that every woman’s figure is different and we learned to pick our own favorite models. My number one still is the skinny jeans, but these flared jeans do make me look a lot taller when wearing super high heels that are hidden underneath. A good number two for me.
Tell me, what are your favorite jeans?
Diesel leather jacket and jeans, Zara shirt, Alexander Wang shoes and Vanessa Mooney bracelets.
