PICKING SCENTS

Back in the days – I am not sure to what time I am actually referring – I feel like all women had their signature scent. I guess it was the generations before my mom’s, since she really never had one and was always switching. I am a switcher too, though there is one perfume that I always miss like crazy when the bottle is empty, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. There are tons of other ones that I like or maybe even love, however nothing does the trick for me like this one does…it is nothing very special but I guess I could call this my signature scent then.

I am currently spending a weekend in Paris at la maison de Liza Chloë, who I chatted with about this farely random thing this morning when we woke up. She does not really have a signature scent either, however she told me she has a few favorites as well, Prada Infusion D’Iris and Hermès Voyage. I like the fact that they are a bit more unknown and she picks them by their bottles.

How about you, do you have a signature scent? Or maybe just a favorite?

L’EAU DE CHLOÉ

advertorial – The team over at Chloé asked me to capture my own interpretation of their light and breezy -not to mention delicious- scent L’eau de Chloé and the minute I saw the giant fatice, I knew this was going to be fun. I mean it is not everyday I get to run around with a huge (and when I say huge, I really mean gigantinourmous) perfume bottle in a quiet scenery like this. Since Amsterdam can get pretty busy and hectic sometimes, one of my favorite things to do is just drive to the middle of nowhere and enjoy the silence. Especially now, when the sun starts to come out more often.

Chloé also asked me to share this really amazing competition with you. All you have to do to win the perfume -and other goodies- is download their app and share your own conception of the fragrance by taking a picture with the app, then edit them with effects to make it match the colors in the campaign and submit them to the lookbook. I have tried with a couple of pictures Lisa and I took a few weeks back and it is so fun and easy you just have to try!

Check out the Chloé blog for more information and to see the other entries. As you can see there is not much of a competition yet, so what are you waiting for.
