The name might imply this is a supermarket for the daily grocery shopping, however SPRMRKT is one of the coolest concept stores you will find in Amsterdam. Fun fact is that the store is located in what used to be a supermarket. The 450m2 store started as a ‘walhalla’ for designer vintage, with ‘dead stock’ collections from for example Dior among other vintage.

They slowly, in my opinion, very naturally turned into a concept store, selling just about everything they love, including Maison Martin Margiela, Helmut Lang, Individuals and their own brand SPR+.

So yes, it is pretty expensive, but just randomly browsing around and getting lost in your thoughts (what would I get if I had all the money in world? Or better: what would I NOT get?) is already worth a visit.

Every once in a while, there is a shop-in-shop in the back of the store, this time in collaboration with Diesel Black Gold (until the end of January). One more reason to visit!

There is a new toy in town, the Canon EOS M. It is their first interchangeable-lens compact system camera, which means it is as small as a normal digital camera, but able to capture super high-quality images that are even better than my – now old – DSLR. It comes with two different lenses and has these fun effects like ‘grainy black and white’, ‘fish-eye’ and ‘toy camera’, that I literally can not wait to play around with. Bye bye Instagram?

I have been wanting to get a good but small camera for ages… It just makes it easy to take anywhere and capture everything that I want on the go.
