Ahh, I miss the land that requires what would be considered a proper winter shoe in Amsterdam – like these Prada boots – to be worn bare legged. At all times, year around.
Acting all fuzzball in the coziest cardigan on planet earth…
With all the crappy weather warning text messages I am receiving from my friends that are patiently waiting for me to kidnap the sun from LA and take it back to Amsterdam, I guess this could be called number two of my winter prep action.
Taking a walk on the masculine side is more the rule rather than the exception when it comes to my personal style. I absolutely love borrowing from the boys, whether it’s slouchy pants, boyfriend blazers or – in this case – oversized shirts.
There is just something so chic about a mens inspired look and it works for just about any occasion. Think grabbing a coffee in a crisp white oversized cotton shirt, silk pants and quite the hefty sandal…oh wait that is my look! Ok, then think a pantsuit. It is made for our counterparts, but honestly looks way better on us, right?
Now back to the shirt, even though I found my holy grail of menswear shirts in the women’s department at Rika not so long ago, I am yet to add the white version to my wardrobe. Until then, Lesley’s wrinkle free (it is seriously quite impossible to get this shirt any creases) shirt will have to do.
Consider this part one in a series of mannish sartorialism. Borrowing from the boys is too much fun to put it all in one post.
To be continued…
In the meantime, tell me about your favorite masculine ensemble.
Even though I like to only start thinking of Christmas about 5 days prior to the actual happening and then get all stressed out about what presents to get everyone, I got an early ‘snif’ of it during my super quick Parisian love affair earlier this week.
They say time flies when you are having fun and that saying always hits me right in my face when the Holiday season starts. It literally feels like yesterday when I last visited Le Printemps for its yearly Christmas Decorations Inauguration. Where did the rest of this year go so fast?
This time around the luxury retailer is completely decked out in exclusive Prada pieces, while its windows are housing bears dressing up a gigantic Cinderella or flying around in ski lifts.
Like a designer version (or vision) of Disneyland…
Pictures of me by Shini Park.
One day I am in Los Angeles and the next I am in Paris, a bit confusing right?
I am currently cheating on the city of angeles with the city of romance – I guess you could call it a one night stand – but hey it is for a good cause called Printemps. Ánd Prada…
Pouch, c/o Printemps.
