Secretly wearing the most colorful bikini you can imagine underneath, because I am off to a meeting in Santa Monica now and I am hoping to spend some time at the beach today. Even if it is just for 10 minutes…
Korean born designer Eudon Choi – one of my favorites at London Fashion Week – has clearly been looking at Russian folk costumes and folk art for his latest collection called Varykino. In a small room at Somerset House (too small of a room for a big talent like Choi if you ask me), the designer stated ‘folk’ as a new trend for next year.
Where the styling felt really truly folklore, with flowered head scarves and pompoms attached to most of the heels, it still was signature Choi. Some of the pieces felt a bit Célinish to me – like , but definitely not in a bad way. The leather pieces were calling my name all at once and I would not mind the navy blue peacoat and pink knit jumper either.
There they are again, those naked ankles. I am slowly developing a thing for rolling up my trousers again. I guess it is not here to stay for long, since things are getting pretty freezy around here now, but I will enjoy it while it can last. Same goes for this amazing leather jacket that I am throwing on here. It is not super thick, but as long as its worn with a cosy wool jumper underneath and maybe a few extra layers, I am good.

This is the clutch I was holding yesterday, a white oversized quilted dream by J.W. Anderson.
Just when I was hoping not yet to give up my hopes for an Indian summer, we skipped fall and went straight to winter? I would be lying if I would tell you that I am not a little bummed about it. I mean it is ok not being able to enjoy that rare Indian summer, but I am a sucker for fall, since it is my favorite season getting-dressed-wise after all. Fall is the perfect season to be exploring stores for winter gear, without making any decisions yet. It is perfect for in between clothes, mixing summer stuff with last years winter sweaters.
Me, not wearing socks in these pictures is just my stubborn self still hoping to get my ankles tanned?
Well, I guess I have to run and buy some turtlenecks…
