7 Winter essentials that will take you straight through this coldest winter month called January, while laughing (really, really hard) in its face.

Layering ingredients
The key to keeping warm is three words, layers, layers and layers. This tank top is a good base to start from, being super stretchy and fitted enough to appear invisible underneath tons of other layers. Imagining it with silk slouchy pants for Summer, this is perfect for other seasons too.

Too cool for school socks
Socks may show this winter, so they might as well be fancy.

Fantastic knits
The number one must-have for the colder seasons, knitwear! Pick timeless basics, but with a twist so that they don’t need much else and you will be done getting dressed in the morning in a second or two.

Basic boots
Tall boots are hard to match with your entire wardrobe, ankle boots go with just about any bottom you own. Whether it is mom jeans or man pants, pick a pair that fits them all.

TIP: Let your local shoe cobbler add a rubber layer to your favorite boots’ soles. When things get snowy and slippery, you will be the last one standing. Plus, that extra layer of rubber will keep your feet a little warmer.

An oversized beanie
They say we loose most body heat through our heads, so keeping our brains (and ears) from freezing by wearing a beanie would not be a bad idea.

PERSONAL NOTE: I will never forget I had to cry last winter after a severely cold bike ride, because I seriously felt like I was loosing a few of my limbs.

Washed black denim
Washed black skinny jeans are one of the best in the denim department. They go with everything, make you look lean and are just a tiny bit more exciting than the non-washed variety.

A gigantic cashmere scarf
Ahh, there is nothing more comfortable than a humongously gigantic cashmere scarf.

TIP: Men’s department scarfs are mostly bigger.

Ahh thanks so much! Love Tumblr, but the shittiest thing is that it is so so hard to find the original source, right?
